Sustainability Ambassadors

Sustainability Ambassadors are the Office of Energy & Sustainability's student outreach arm. Students work on teams of two each assigned a different sustainability-related topic area.  

During the 2017/ 2018 academic year, Ambassadors organized our annual energy contest, held our Annual Arbor Day event and finished our application to be a Tree Campus USA school, worked together to conduct evening energy audits of campus buildings, lead another transportation survey, helped organize our Food Week Green Bag Lunch, conducted our Real Food Challenge research, helped Greek Houses recycle more and many additional initiatives and projects.

During the 2016/ 2017 academic year, Ambassadors helped conduct an extensive commuting survey for our campus, held a free cycle event, headed up and did marketing for our res hall energy contest, organized an Arbor Day event, spearheaded meetings among local food and food waste related student groups and much more.

During the 2015/ 2016 academic year, Ambassadors ran a jeans recycling collection, conducted a microbead swap event, ran our bike powered smoothie making Earth Day table, helped craft our Recycle Regatta boat and much more.
