For the third year CWRU has received a Commuter Choice Challenge award for efforts to improve mode shift and the transportation footprint of our campus community. Mode shift, means moving individuals out of single occupancy vehicles and increasing individuals who use mass transit, carpool, bike or walk instead of driving to work. This year NOACA combined efforts with the City of Cleveland's sustainability office to inspire Cleveland area employers to improve their transportation footprint in variety of ways for the Year of Sustainable Transportation. The prize was awarded at the Sustainable Cleveland 2019 annual Summit. Stephanie Corbett, CWRU Sustainability Director, is pictured here in red accepting the award.
