NOACA, our regional planning agency, has recently rolled out their new commuting tool: Gohio Commute. With it, users calculate their transportation carbon footprint, find carpool buddies and more.
Recently, the CWRU Office for Sustainability has submitted our annual application for the the Sustainable Cleveland Commuter Challenge. Last year, the University was awarded Silver status for our efforts to help our campus community move in and around the region in greener ways and won Gold two years ago. This year, each time a CWRU Gohio user tracks their daily commute on the portal, the University will get bonus points on our Commuter Challenge application!
For each day a user tracks their commute (two times in one day) they will get an entry into the raffle between July 10 and July 31. We will be giving away three $30 gift cards.
University Circle is a busy place. We want to encourage shifting single use cars off the streets and help people move around via RTA, cycling, vanpool, carpool or working from home. These are all viable commuting options on the Gohio portal. Learn more about green transportation on our website.
