Website URLs should follow the same structure as where they are located on the website. For example, a Contact Us page will likely have the URL of case.edu/sitename/about/contact-us. This structure is reflected in the breadcrumbs of the page as well, giving users multiple ways to ensure they are on the right page, as well as giving them information about how to navigate your website to learn more about a specific topic. Vanity URLs
Sometimes a shorter URL, also known as a vanity URL, is required for marketing purposes. These URLs should be uncommon on your website and should not be used or needed for every page on your site.

- the current page’s URL
- the shorter URL you are requesting
- the reason for the request
