Get active around campus!

Case Western Reserve University has three on-campus facilities to help you get or stay physically active.

Veale Convocation, Recreation and Athletic Center

The Veale Center is the home of CWRU athletics, physical education and intramural programs. It offers:

  • four multi-purpose courts (which are frequently used for activities such as basketball, tennis, soccer and volleyball)
  • a six-lane indoor track
  • a multipurpose aerobics room
  • a cardio exercise room
  • a newly renovated weight room
  • nine racquetball courts
  • two squash courts
  • a rock climbing wall
  • Horsburgh Gym (used for basketball, volleyball and wrestling)
  • Veale Natatorium and Donnell Pool

Plus, there’s also Van Horn Field just outside Veale Center.

Veale Center is located at the top of the CWRU Quad, next to the Veale parking garage.

Admission is free to CWRU students, faculty and staff with a valid CWRU ID.‌

Wyant Athletic and Wellness Center

Wyant Athletic and Wellness Center is a part of the North Residential Village. Located on the northeast corner of DiSanto Field—home to our football, soccer, and track and field teams—it includes:

  • Steve Belichick Varsity Weight Room: The 4,500-square-foot space was gifted by New England Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick in honor of his father, Steve (WRC ‘41).
  • DiGeronimo Fitness Center: A 4,200-square-foot cardio workout facility.
  • Varsity Club: A 2,500-square-foot level with office and meeting space as well as “Stu’s Balcony,” overlooking DiSanto Field and the Coach Bill Sudeck Track.

Admission is free to CWRU students, faculty and staff with a valid CWRU ID.‌

Owned and operated by Case Western Reserve University, One to One Fitness is one of Cleveland’s top fitness centers, offering professional, personal, friendly and clean services and facilities.

Some of the amenities of One to One include:
