Considering earning a minor from Case Western Reserve University’s Department of Cognitive Science?

Minoring in cognitive science gives you a basic grounding in the field, and allows you to focus your coursework on aspects of the field most relevant to your other academic interests.

Requirements

In addition to meeting general education requirements, cognitive science minors must complete a minimum of 15 semester hours in cognitive science coursework:

COGS 101: Introduction to Cognitive Science (typically taught in fall) 3

One of the following:

  • COGS 102:    Introduction to Cognitive Neuroscience (typically taught in spring)
  • COGS 201:    Human Cognition in Evolution and Development (typically taught in fall)
  • COGS 202:    Cognition and Culture (typically taught in spring)

Three electives: COGS courses at the 200 or 300 level 9
