About 50 publications appeared from the Gratzl Lab during Dr. Gratzl's tenure at Case Western Reserve University, out of a total of about 100. The average number of citations per article since 1996 (the year of tenure) up to 2006 is 24. This includes all the papers published in that period. The h index is 21 and i10 index=35 (Google Scholar). Early publications appeared mainly in the Hungarian Journal of Chemistry which is no longer indexed. Recent publications after 2006 are not included since a citation base requires several years to build up.
All the papers published while at CWRU appeared in the best international journals of the respective areas: Physical Chemistry, Neuroscience, Biophysical Journal, Analytical Chemistry, European Journal of Biophysics, Journal of Chemical Physics and Physical Chemistry, Sensors and Actuators, and others. An example is Analytical Chemistry where I have published more than 30 research articles thus far. Analytical Chemistry is the best in the World in the broad fields of chemical and biomedical sensing and measurements.
