  • 09/01/2023 We were awarded a new 3 year grant from NSF to investigate flow condensation. This is a collaborative effort with Advanced Cooling Technologies, and together we plan to perform experiments on the International Space Station, supplement with terrestrial tests, and develop physics models to understand fundamentals of thermal transport during phase-change in condensers.

  • 1/28/2021 We were awarded a new 3 year grant from ONR to investigate a novel thermal management concept to be utilized in power systems of future naval aircraft. In this effort, we are collaborating with Dr. Carter and Dr. McGuffin-Cawley from Material Science and Engineering Department to develop novel 3D manifold microchannel configurations for high heat flux devices by additively manufacturing silicon nitride.
