Bob Sopko

CWRU LaunchNet

Bob Sopko is the Director of CWRU LaunchNET, where he advises CWRU students, alumni and community members on innovation and entrepreneurship. He has been at Case Western Reserve University for over 20 years, previously as a member of UTech in the management of strategic technology partnerships.

In addition to his work at CWRU, Bob is an entrepreneur in residence at Jumpstart, Inc. and Youngstown Business Incubator, mentors with the National Science Foundation Innovation Corps (I-Corps™) program, was selected to be on the SXSW Pitch advisory board and has been involved for over a decade with the FIRST ® Robotics Competition.

Bob has earned degrees at Cuyahoga Community College, Myers University and an MBA with a technology concentration at the University of Akron. His favorite part of being at CWRU is getting to know and work with amazingly smart, brave and at times wacky students, alum and community members who Think and Do Beyond the Possible.
