Our Collaborators

As the entrepreneurship institute at CWRU, we work across campus and beyond to share entrepreneurial insights and expertise in a variety of ways.

Internal Partners

Every year, we host a number of speakers for our Entrepreneurship Speaker Series, often in collaboration with representatives from CWRU’s various schools. Additionally, our entrepreneurs-in-residence (EIR) program at Weatherhead School of Management, Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, the Technology Transfer Office and Sears think[box] leverages our network of successful entrepreneurs to support new ventures.

We also work with the Technology Transfer office on programs to help faculty transition their research from lab to market, and are integrating programming for student fellowships to help build a larger, stronger student entrepreneurship community on campus.

External Partners

An important aspect of our work is collaboration with other entrepreneurship centers, organizations and universities. This allows us to learn from each other, gain additional resources and help prepare ventures to move beyond campus.

We've produced events with schools including Princeton, UCLA, University of North Carolina, Lehigh University and The Ohio State University, and have visited campuses at Washington University, Ohio State, Tufts, Wharton and others to learn from them and share our processes. As LinkedIn Live pilot users, we've been able to share our livestream tips with these schools to help them stream to LinkedIn.

As a leader in hybrid event production, we were also invited to speak at the StartupTree Collective Minds series and have consulted with representatives from the Entrepreneurship Education Consortium.

Our external partners include:

  • Burton D. Morgan LaunchNET
  • NEOSVF (Northeast Ohio Student Venture Fund)
  • BRITE Energy Incubator
  • Jumpstart

Our goal as the Veale Institute is to stay committed to continuous learning. For us, this means benchmarking with other entrepreneurship centers and institutions. We hope to offer learning opportunities for others on campus through joint programming and speaking engagements.
