The University Center on Aging and Health at Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing will present “Caring for older adults in the time of COVID: The good, the bad, the ugly and the path forward” at the 25th Florence Cellar Gerontology Conference on Oct. 14.
The keynote speaker is Amy Stearns Acton, MD, MPH, president and CEO of RAPID 5 and former director of the Ohio Department of Health.
The conference, held at Case Western Reserve’s Tinkham Veale University Center, aims to:
- Identify the impact of the pandemic on older adults and those who provide care.
- Describe the political, healthcare, social service and community responses to the pandemic.
- Examine the effectiveness of the responses and how they inform the future.
