The past academic year has included many firsts for the Office of Interprofessional and Interdisciplinary Education and Research. That includes the first CWRU interprofessional team to compete in the University of Minnesota Clarion Case Competition. This year's case topic focused on natural disasters, migration and family well-being. The student team worked together to develop a plan for a network that would support and serve families during times of crisis.
While this year's competition was virtual, the team noted, "Overall, it was a wonderful experience for all of us, and we learned a lot about interprofessional communication, working as a team, and a lot about natural disasters. … We hope CWRU continues entering this competition in the future, which will hopefully be in person in Minnesota!"
