Hosted by the UCLA Space Medicine Club, Case Western Reserve University Center for Aerospace Physiology will be presenting the virtual info session, "Aerospace Physiology 101" on Thursday, 5/14 at 5:00pm PST/8:00pm EST -- a fun discussion on "What is Aerospace Physiology?"  by Michael Decker, PhD with follow-up live Q&A facilitated by Donna Fearon, MSN, FNP, RNSteven O'Neill, MD, MS and current CWRU graduate student, Sasha Neely.  Tune in, stay for liftoff, and find out how a little curiosity about space and science can take your future farther than you'd think! 

Michael Decker PhD, RN, RRT is a systems neuroscientist with expertise in both basic and clinical neuroscience, focusing on central nervous system function in health and disease. His research spans high-altitude physiology, respiratory physiology, and sleep medicine. He has held positions at Emory University’s Department of Neurology, the CDC’s Chronic Viral Diseases branch, and served as Senior Research Physiologist at the Naval Medical Research Unit-Dayton (2018–2022). During his doctoral training at Case Western Reserve University, he studied environmental modifiers of brain structure and function. Dr. Decker is board-certified in Sleep Medicine and maintains clinical licensure in respiratory therapy and nursing.  He is co-founder and co-director of the CWRU Center for Aerospace Physiology where he conducts ongoing aerospace research in collaboration with the United States Air Force and Department of Defense as well as serving as director for CWRU's MS and graduate certificate in Aerospace Physiology education programs.
