As the Senior Director for Institutional Research, Bolden is responsible for leading the department in delivering accurate, consistent, and timely information about CWRU to stakeholders both internally and externally. He serves the entire university through the provision and communication of data in multiple formats to support strategic decision-making. Bolden also serves as the co-chair for the Data Governance Committee and the Employee Engagement Committee.
Bolden began his career at CWRU in 2015 as the Research and Assessment Specialist in [U]Tech before assuming the Associate Director of Institutional Research role in 2017. He began leading the Office of Institutional Research in 2020 as interim director before accepting the permanent position two years later.
Before his time at CWRU, Bolden spent time as an evaluator and lead faculty consultant at Kent State University. He continues to teach occasionally as a part-time instructor in the Research Methods and Statistics program at Kent State and serves as a peer reviewer for several journals.
Bolden holds his doctorate in Evaluation and Measurement from Kent State University as well as a bachelors and master’s in psychology. He grew up on the east side of Cleveland and still lives there with his wife and three kids who keep him very active and involved in athletics and exploring the many parks around town.
