Campus to Remain Closed Friday, Feb. 4

To the Case Western Reserve University Community:

With snow, sleet and high winds expected to continue overnight, Case Western Reserve will remain closed through Friday, Feb. 4. As was the case today, this closure includes the university’s dental clinic.

Today has seen several accidents on local roadways, and with lower temperatures anticipated tomorrow, the risks to those driving to campus would be even higher than today. In addition, by keeping campus pedestrian traffic low, our facilities crews will be able to clear walkways and other parts of campus more quickly.

All of the buildings and services closed today will continue to be closed tomorrow, while residence and dining halls will maintain operations. One to One Fitness will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. tomorrow.

As was the case today, some clinical experiences or other academic activities may still need to take place; if students have not received updates by 9 p.m., they should check with the leaders responsible for their programs—or faculty leading specific courses—regarding their Friday plans.

We deeply appreciate all of those who came to campus today to deliver services necessary for the safety of our community—as well as other critical university operations. We regret that this storm demands yet more of your support tomorrow, but remain profoundly grateful for all that you do for Case Western Reserve.
