The Office of the Provost is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for faculty to participate in an online learning community (OLC) focused on developing hybrid and online learning courses.
Led by [U]Tech’s Teaching and Learning Technologies team with guidance from expert faculty, this learning community will provide faculty with the support needed to develop hybrid and fully online learning courses in a supportive environment. Topics will include how to ensure that course learning objectives and goals can be realized in hybrid and online learning, how to best utilize Canvas, Zoom and other instructional technologies, how to balance synchronous and asynchronous time, and how to ensure that faculty and students have multiple avenues for meaningful learning and interaction throughout the course.
Selected OLC fellows who successfully complete the requirements of the learning community will receive a stipend of $5,000 to be paid at the completion of OLC. In addition, participants will receive funding to support making content accessible.
Full time professors and instructors are encouraged to apply by November 20th.
