Every day, people buy products that have a connection to the internet. It may be a light bulb, a smart speaker or a car or even a medical device. But because they connect to the internet, these products require an entirely new frame of reference for consumers, manufacturers and legislators to ensure they keep working, stay secure and behave as advertised. We need a new social contract for connected devices.
