After an incident occurs, the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards will determine whether a case will follow the administrative hearing process or formal hearing process by considering the following questions:
- Is University Separation or University Expulsion a possible outcome?
- Did this incident have a significant impact to the University community or other individuals?
if the Office of Student Conduct determines that the answer to both questions is no, the Administrative Hearing Process is appropriate.
If the answer to either question is yes, the Formal Hearing Process is followed.
