- The Vice President of Student Affairs or designee shall determine the composition of hearing boards and appeal boards and determine which hearing board, hearing officer or appeal board shall be authorized to hear each matter.
- The Vice President of Student Affairs or designee shall develop policies for the administration of the student conduct system and procedural rules for the conduct of hearings that are consistent with provisions of the student code.
- Decisions made by hearing boards or hearing officers shall be final, pending the normal appeal process.
- In exceptional circumstances where there is a campus-wide impact from a code of conduct violations, the Dean of Students or designee can determine responsibility for alleged code of conduct violations and impose appropriate sanctions based on the available evidence. The Dean of Students or designee will include a copy of the evidence upon which they made their determination with the notice of sanctions sent to the respondent. Within ten (10) business days, the respondent may request reconsideration of the decision to the Vice President for Student Affairs or designee and submit additional information in writing or in person. Any decision by the Vice President for Student Affairs or designee on reconsideration is final.
