Family Resources

Are you the family of an international student at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) looking to get your questions answered? The Office of International Student Resources and Engagement (OISRE) is here to help.

When you send your student to CWRU, OISRE will be a hub for support, growth, and development. We will assist in their success by connecting them to extracurricular resources and leadership opportunities. Find more information for parents and families of CWRU students.

If you decide to bring your family with you, please review the VISA website for important considerations such as the cost of living, health insurance, and childcare and school

What about family housing?

Family housing is not available on campus. Find out more about bringing your family to Cleveland.

What about child care programs?

Child care programs are offered to all members of the CWRU community including all eligible faculty, staff, postdocs and students. There are several child care discounts available. Review beneficial parenting resources and find more information about child care in Ohio

Programs for International Spouses and Partners

Join the Spouse Support Fellowship offered through the International Student Fellowship/CWRU. Twice a month student spouses and some local volunteers get together for a time of mutual support and friendship. Led by Julie Holt, this group does everything from discussing family and child-raising matters to managing finances and current events. Primarily attended by wives of students, this group also does not discriminate against stay-at-home husbands. Please contact Julie Holt for more information.
