A Basic Page consists of a main content section with a WYSIWYG and an Aside section on the right-hand side. You do not have the option to include a Hero Image on a Basic Page, but you do have the option to embed images into that WYSIWYG that have already been uploaded to the Media Library.
A Basic Page is used for any pages on the website that are going to be generally text-based. Some of our newer sites do not have the option for a Basic Page since a Robust 3-Column page can do everything that a Basic Page can do, and more. We recommend creating any new pages on your website as Robust 3-Column pages to give you more flexibility with future edits on your pages if needed.
