When using documents on your site, please think about where you will be using the document and how best to display your information. For example, content within a document can sometimes be better displayed as content on a page with appropriate headers and links.
Also consider digital accessibility when deciding if you should include your document on the website. Learn more about digital accessibility for documents.
Acceptable Document Types
Typical document types are .pdf, .doc, .docx, .ppt, .pptx, .xls or .xlsx, but Drupal can host some additional document types such as .txt or .csv files as well.
Adding Documents to the Website
Before adding a document to a page, please make sure the document has been uploaded to the Media Library first. Once a document has been uploaded to the Media Library, you can then use the Internal Link or Linkit tool within the WYSIWYG to add the document to your page.
