The United Nations’ Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) initiative brings together the UN and business schools around the world to “inspire and champion responsible management education, research, and thought leadership globally” through the application of six principles: purpose, values, method, research, partnership, and dialogue. The Fowler Center for Business as an Agent of World Benefit represents the Weatherhead School of Management in this endeavor.
The PRME initiative began at the Fowler Center's 2006 Global Forum for Business as an Agent of World Benefit and launched at the 2007 UN Global Compact Leaders Summit in Geneva. The PRME initiative is the largest organized relationship between the United Nations and business schools, with the PRME Secretariat housed in the UN Global Compact Office.
