Megan Buchter is the Executive Director of the Fowler Center for Business as an Agent of World Benefit at Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management. In this role, she leads the Fowler Center’s strategic vision and global programming, advancing the mission of business as a force for positive change in society.
Under her leadership, the Fowler Center has expanded its international reach through initiatives such as the AIM2Flourish program—an award-winning platform featuring more than 5,000 student-written stories of business innovations for good—and the annual Flourish Prizes, which celebrate enterprises creating positive global impact. She also spearheads the Center’s student-focused initiatives, including the ThinkImpact Social Entrepreneurship program, the Impact Investing Competition, the Venture4Impact pitch competition and the Business for World Benefit Clinic, all designed to prepare the next generation of leaders to tackle pressing global challenges.
An experienced educator and facilitator, Megan teaches courses and delivers workshops on entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, sustainability, Appreciative Inquiry, sustainability and ESG consulting, and experiential learning, both at Case Western Reserve University and in global platforms. She has presented at international conferences including the PRME Global Forum, the AASHE Global Conference, and the World Appreciative Inquiry Conference, and is recognized as a leader in advancing sustainability and positive business education.
Megan holds an MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management, where she received one of the inaugural Fowler Family Fellowship recipients, and a BA in Economics from Case Western Reserve University. She is a Certified Carbon Literate professional, a Kolb Experiential Learning Profile Certified Facilitator, and has earned a certificate in Appreciative Inquiry for Positive Business and Society Change.
