Katie Van Dusen is a second year MBA Candidate at the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. She is originally from Ann Arbor, MI where she attended the University of Michigan.
Katie is passionate about equitable community development and previously worked in philanthropy, where she managed arts and culture grantmaking for a foundation, implementing innovative community investment strategies and helping the foundation understand and evaluate the impact of its investments. She is particularly interested in impact investing, entrepreneurship as a vehicle for social mobility, sustainable business development, innovative financing structures for community projects, and workforce development in midwestern cities. She will be joining McKinsey & Company as an Associate upon graduating from Case.
Katie also maintains an active career as a freelance musician, performing throughout the American folk and singer-songwriter circuit, as a studio musician, and as section violinist with the National Arab Orchestra. She lives in Lakewood with her partner Robyn and their greyhound Pico.
