By all means! At the WRC, we assist writers at any stage of the writing process – from helping writers to interpret the assignment prompt, to coming up with a topic, to drafting and organizing. We encourage writers to bring as much information (a copy of the assignment, class notes) as is necessary to help consultants understand the project at hand.
Yes! Consultants at the WRC are happy assist campus writers with a variety of professional documents.
If writers wish to have a report forwarded to their professors, they should provide the professor’s email address to their consultant. The WRC can then provide a brief overview of the writing topics addressed in the session.
When a writer misses an appointment, the consultant will indicate on the scheduling system that they did not attend the session. After three (3) missed sessions, the system will automatically prevent the writer from making appointments for the remainder of the semester. Writers need to contact the WRC to have their account reinstated. If you have to miss an appointment, please cancel it online as soon as possible so that we can work with other writers. Writers may also e-mail us at writingcenter@case.edu or e-mail the consultant directly in order to cancel appointments.
Consultants will wait 10 minutes after the session begins. After that, they will indicate that the appointment has been missed.
