Lead in the nation's health care capital

Nursing students

How do our grads become leaders in nursing?

By launching into patient care from the very start in the nation’s health care nerve center, our students earn 1,300+ hours of clinical care alongside some of the most committed and talented faculty in nursing science.

First-year students are placed in the hospital within three weeks of arrival, practicing hands-on patient care right away.

And they live within walking distance of three of the most leading-edge health care facilities in the country:

  • University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center is at the heart of campus. Students interact seamlessly with the largest biomedical research center in Ohio and one of the top 20 in the country.
  • Cleveland Clinic, the second-largest medical group practice in the world, is one of five U.S. hospitals designated "The Best of the Best" by U.S. News and World Report.
  • Louis Stokes VA Medical Center is recognized for more programs of clinical excellence than any other VA medical center in the United States.

Hands-on learning in a health care city means stepping into the workplace already groomed for leadership.
