The Facilities Services staff realizes the impact our campus buildings and landscapes have on your overall experience at Case Western Reserve University.   With approximately 100 buildings on campus, 6 million gross square feet, and 267 acres we strive to provide a safe, beautiful, sustainable university environment for learning, teaching, working, and playing.

Prompt, professional services support the mission, vision, and core values of CWRU. Responsibilities of the Facilities Services department include providing uninterrupted, reliable utilities, compliance with regulatory legislation, temperature control, custodial services, trash and recycling pickup, university vehicle maintenance, landscaping and lawn care, leaf and snow removal, irrigation, and general craft trades associated with the day to day operations and maintenance of all buildings, grounds and utilities.

Marcia Elliott and Dean Tufts

Campus Planning and Facilities Management recently honored longtime employee Marcia Elliott with the Star Performer recognition at a ceremony held at Amasa Stone Chapel.

Elliott, a dedicated Case Western Reserve employee for 24 years, serves as the building service group leader in the Custodial Services department. She worked in Yost Hall until its recent demolition and now leads operations in Amasa Stone. Throughout her tenure, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, Elliott has consistently demonstrated exceptional performance and dedication.

“Marcia is someone in our department I can trust,” said Fred Peck, Assistant Director of Academic Custodial Services. “Whatever task she is assigned, she always gives one hundred and ten percent and ensures it is completed before leaving.”
