South Residential Village Residence Halls

south residential village at CWRU

Location: South Residential Village

Client: University Housing

Scope: South Residential Village is located within Little Italy, a Landmark District. Two new residence halls, Fayette House and Noyes House, were constructed on a former parking lot to accommodate 600 new beds, increasing the total bed count within the South Residential Village to approximately 1,400. Combined with the existing beds at South Residential Village, the university can consolidate all second-year student housing needs into one area of campus, while factoring in potential enrollment growth. In addition to beds, the project provided other student life experience spaces such as a wellness area, study space, active lounges, meeting areas and rehearsal spaces. Outdoor site amenities included an area for volleyball, grilling, hammocks and green space.
