Dental Research Building Office Build-out rendering

The Dental Research Building Office Build-out project is managed by the Department of Campus Planning & Facilities Management at Case Western Reserve University. Learn more about the project below.

Construction Manager: Dan Sexton

Location: Ground Floor, Dental Research Building

Client: Case Western Reserve University and Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing

Schedule:

  • Project Start: October 2024
  • Projected Completion: September 2025

Financials:

  • Total project cost: $8.0M

Scope of Project: This project will renovate another 20,000 square feet of vacant space of the ground floor into administrative office and dry research spaces. This renovated space will be used by multiple departments currently located in the Nursing Research Building on both a permanent and temporary basis. These moves will enable the Nursing Research Building to be vacated so that full renovation of that building can commence in the fall of 2025.

The renovation of this vacant space in the Dental Research Building will provide a more functional floor plan layout and updated mechanical, electrical, plumbing and technology systems. The project will create windows in what is currently a windowless office area, allowing occupants of the space to enjoy natural daylight. Finally, the project will prepare ~4,500sf of “white box” space that can be built-out to meet the university’s future space requirements.
