Community Card Frequently Asked Questions

Case Western Reserve is committed to being a “Good Neighbor” to our surrounding communities by deepening our presence in the neighborhoods and welcoming more neighbors to campus.  We wish to connect residents to CWRU resources and building bridges and community with our neighbors.

You can sign-up for a community card here. Please allow 14 days from your application to receive a response from our office. Be sure to check your junk/spam filter as well!

The card is good for three years from the date it was issued.  It will then have to be renewed. Renewal is free.

CWRU performs a thorough vetting process after you send your application. We check the validity of the information provided on your form which can go quickly or take some time depending on many different factors. You may hear back that day, or it may take as long as a couple of weeks. If you have not received an email response from our office in 14 days, please reach out to us at communityrelations@case.edu or 216-368-1723.

The CWRU cost $10 for a three year period.  Should you lose your card within the three year period the replacement card fee is $25.

No.  At this time, the card is limited to those who live in these designated areas.

No. The CWRU Community Card is not transferable.

We are encouraging all new Community Card members to sign up for a campus tour.  You may register for a tour here. You are also welcome to take a virtual tour if you prefer.  An interactive map of the campus is available, as well as a downloadable map.
