The Office of Interprofessional and Interdisciplinary Education and Research will host a Friday Night at the ER workshop in the Samson Pavilion of the Health Education Campus on April 18 from 1 to 4 p.m. and April 25 from 1 to 4 p.m.
The events are engaging simulations that create an opportunity for individuals and teams to learn how to break down siloed thinking and apply interdependent and interprofessional problem solving and systems thinking in everyday practices.
Don’t let the title fool you, Friday Night at the ER is not a clinical simulation, and it is not limited to individuals who work in healthcare. While the workshop simulates a day in a hospital setting, it focuses on collaborating across functional boundaries to achieve system goals, making it an applicable simulation for any sector.
If you believe you or your team would benefit from refining your teamwork in innovation, creative problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, distributed leadership skills and systems thinking, then this simulation is for you! If you ever wondered how your team can be more effective in stressful situations, this event will also provide that opportunity.
Join us on either April 18 or 25 for a fun, engaging and challenging experience. Snacks will be provided. Registration is required, and space is limited, so sign up soon through this registration form.
