Health Education Campus Updates Samson Pavilion Student Use Policy

The Health Education Campus (HEC) has announced an updated policy for student use of space within Samson Pavilion, reinforcing its primary mission to support health profession students at Case Western Reserve University and Cleveland Clinic.

Under the revised guidelines, students enrolled in the university’s health profession programs—including medicine, dental medicine, nursing, physician assistant, anesthesia and Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine—will have priority access to all study, collaboration and lounge spaces throughout the building.

Students outside these programs may still utilize designated first-floor areas for quiet study on a first-come, first-served basis, as long as their use does not interfere with the needs of health profession students. Access to the second floor and above remains restricted to health profession students only, unless otherwise authorized by the HEC Operations Office.

All students are expected to uphold a respectful and professional environment. Violations of the policy or disruptive behavior may result in removal from the space and referral to university administration.

Questions or requests for exceptions should be directed to Jean Seneff, director of HEC Operations, at jean@case.edu. The policy will be reviewed regularly to ensure it continues to meet the evolving academic needs of the campus community.
