The Division of Student Affairs and Center for Civic Engagement and Learning are accepting applications for students interested in becoming civic engagement scholars for the 2022–23 school year. The program is open to graduate and undergraduate students (many students participate for multiple years).
Over the academic year, scholars complete 30 civic engagement hours and participate in educational events to enhance their understanding of Cleveland and social change. Upon successful completion, scholars earn a certificate of distinction.
The program is suited for students who:
- Plan to volunteer regularly,
- Want to learn more about community issues and social justice, and
- Are interested in connecting with fellow students committed to civic engagement.
