The Case Western Reserve University community is invited to the inaugural Sneaker Gala fundraiser celebrating 50 years of hip hop. The gala benefits Peel Dem Layers Back, a community partner with the Office of Interprofessional and Interdisciplinary Education and Research for “Collaborative Practice I”—a service learning experience for first-year health professions and social work students.
The event is on Friday, March 31, from 8 to 10 p.m., at The Madison (4601 Payne Avenue in Cleveland).
Peel Dem Layers Back is dedicated to educating, empowering, and equipping young Black men and boys with the tools to live a mentally healthy life through hip-hop culture.
