Dental student council hosts March Madness-style fundraiser

Pet owners, pet lovers and pet enthusiasts: The Dental Class of 2022 Student Council invites you to show off your furry, feathery or scaly friends in the ultimate cuteness battle! The BARK-It is back and better than ever, with some awesome prizes for our top winners!

How it works:

  1. If you have a pet—of any kind—and you think they’ve got what it takes to become the cutest, coolest and most awesome pet on the Health Education Campus, enter them into the competition by sending a picture and a brief biography via this Google form. Submission is free, and we welcome returning competitors from previous years.
  2. All submissions will be randomized into a bracket similar to March Madness, which will be sent out and updated regularly. Throughout the month, your pets will compete against each other in multiple rounds of competition. Rounds will open and close at specific times.
  3. How do they compete? By votes from all of you! In order to “vote,” you must submit cash or Venmo to @dmdclass2022 with the name of the pet you wish to support within each round. Fifty cents equals one vote. Votes do not carry over to the next round. Anyone is welcome to vote, even if you have not submitted a pet of your own. Our biggest vote-earners last year recruited tons of support from friends all over campus.
  4. At the end of the month, we will have one winning pet. That pet, and his/her human, will win a prize and, of course, major bragging rights.

All submissions will be collected between now and a hard deadline of Monday, Feb. 28, at 5 p.m. The first round of the BARK-It begins Tuesday, March 1.
