HyperCase, Case Western Reserve University's interdisciplinary healthcare innovation incubator, is seeking applications for its 2024–25 executive board positions. Participants will develop leadership skills, manage motivated teams, write and submit grants, organize events and work with campus leaders.
The executive board consists of eight branches organized into three divisions. Each executive board member will take ownership of a branch of the board and contribute to organizational growth and development.
Available positions include:
- VP of Executive Management: In charge of event planning, member-facing communication and management of member-facing administrative platforms (CampusGroups and listserv).
- VP of Strategy: Manages educational outreach and partnerships, including but not limited to applying to, attending and presenting HyperCase’s work at conferences (i.e. Association of American Medical Colleges), seeking out and assisting with grant opportunities in conjunction with finance and co-managing the clinical needs database with MD+ and the VP of Faculty and Stakeholder.
- VP of Curriculum: Responsible for curricular development, team leader orientation and weekly curricular updates. Applicants must have previous HyperCase experience or previous design team experience.
- Curriculum Officer: Serves as the primary point of contact for team leaders to discuss curricular needs and creates and reviews weekly team progress reports.
- VP of Media Marketing: Oversee the growth of the HyperCase website and social media accounts (X, Instagram, LinkedIn), create promotional videos and flyers and maintain relationships with media platforms. A good applicant has strong organizational skills and is comfortable with public speaking.
- VP of Outreach: Directs annual team leader and member recruitment. During the non-recruitment season, in charge of maintaining relationships with partner organizations and external relationship building with local institutions and expansion efforts. A good applicant is interested in working closely with leaders from several CWRU graduate schools.
- VP of Faculty and Stakeholder: Supervises the development and expansion of the clinical needs database, maintains relationships with faculty advisors, cultivates new faculty relationships and corresponds with faculty for attendance at HyperCase events.
- Faculty and Stakeholder Officer: Serves as the point of contact for all team leaders. In charge of making introductions to subject matter experts and stakeholders, organizing skills workshops and coordinating faculty speakers.
- VP of Internal Finance: Manages funding and budgeting for HyperCase events, responsible for submission and management of grant applications, travel funding for HyperCase, student funding, management of 501c(3) and recruitment of sponsorships.
- VP of External Finance: Serves as financial advisor to all HyperCase teams, such as assisting with grant applications, travel funding, pitch competitions and patent needs.
New executive board members will transition into roles in the spring and assume full responsibility from May 2024 through April 2025 (with the opportunity to stay on for a second term, if desired).
