Join an Interprofessional Education team

The Office of Interprofessional and Interdisciplinary Education and Research is currently accepting applications for faculty to join one or more of our interprofessional education and collaborative practice teams. This is an excellent opportunity for interested faculty from any Case Western Reserve University school/college to broaden their educator portfolio, participate in cutting-edge education research and scholarship and meet individuals from across the campus and throughout Northeast Ohio. Faculty roles and responsibilities could include one or more of the following:

  • Teach in interprofessional teams about teamwork skills and interprofessional service learning topics during in-person and/or online courses;
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff from Case Western Reserve and other institutions to design, implement and study new online Community Collaborative Practice courses that begin in fall 2023;
  • Collaborate with clinicians, educators and staff to design, implement and study Clinical Collaborative Practice, an interprofessional collaborative practice experience in which advanced students work in teams on clinically-based projects starting in fall 2023;
  • Partner with leaders in the Office of Interprofessional and Interdisciplinary Education and Research, faculty across our campus and faculty at local institutions to create sustainable interdisciplinary courses and other experiential opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students;
  • Network with faculty, staff and students throughout Case Western Reserve’s campus to develop and oversee extracurricular experiences for our Interprofessional and Interdisciplinary Interconnections (I3) certificate program;
  • Join the Assessment and Evaluation team to conduct learner and team assessments, administer program evaluations and participate in interprofessional scholarship;
  • Train to provide team coaching to established interprofessional and interdisciplinary teams in clinical, educational, nonprofit and other settings; and
  • Participate in faculty and staff teamwork education and coaching workshops and retreats.

Aligned with the faculty member’s capacity and commensurate with their time commitment to one or more of the interprofessional or interdisciplinary roles and responsibilities listed above, the Office of Interprofessional and Interdisciplinary Education and Research will provide five–20% salary support beginning in the 2023-2024 academic year.

The application is due March 1, as well as a personal statement, your CV and a letter of support from your supervisor stating that you will be able to commit time and effort to work in the Office of Interprofessional and Interdisciplinary Education and Research. Faculty members from any school/college are encouraged to apply. Please direct questions to Associate Provost Tyler Reimschisel at txr181@case.edu
