The School of Medicine’s Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusive Excellence will host the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Black History Month Keynote Lecture Thursday, Feb. 10, at 4:30 p.m.
Dexter Voisin, dean of the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, will present “Promoting Racial Equity in Healthcare Alongside Communities,” inspired by King’s quote: “Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health is the most shocking and inhumane.”
Voisin’s presentation will explore what it means to work alongside communities to promote health equity among racialized groups.
This event is tentatively planned as a virtual event. Registration is open.
