Would your clinical or community team like to teach in an interprofessional class?

The Office of Interprofessional and Interdisciplinary Education and Research is recruiting clinical and community-based teams to speak to our health professions and social work students so they can learn about your work and the importance of teamwork in providing high-quality care and service.

The office seeks teams from a variety of clinical and community settings, such as the operating room, palliative care service, behavioral health teams in community settings, cancer center, intensive care unit, geriatric service, LGBTQ+ clinic, complex care service, medical/surgical ward, etc.

Each team can send one or more than one representative, and any members of the team who can attend are welcome.

Prior to the session, teams will be provided a list of questions and topics to help guide discussion. Each team representative will be able to speak to a group of about 25 to 30 students for 30 minutes (including time for student questions), and then switch to a second group of students for another 30 minutes. The sessions will be informal discussions, and no presentation is required.

The sessions will be delivered on the following dates/times in the Samson Pavilion of the Health Education Campus. A team does not need to be able to send a representative for all four sessions in order to participate. If a team can only send a representative for one, two or three sessions, participation is still welcome.
