Join the Swetland Center for a seminar on the AmeRicans' Conceptions of Health Equity Study

The Swetland Center for Environmental Health invites all members of the Case Western Reserve community to its April seminar featuring Colleen C. Walsh, Sarah S. Willen and Abigail Fisher Williamson of the AmeRicans' Conceptions of Health Equity Study (ARCHES) team. This virtual event will be held April 26 from 9 to 10 a.m.

This study employs mixed methods to examine how Americans think about their own sense of health-related deservingness, how they assess the deservingness of others, how views and values shift over time, and what catalyzes these shifts.

In this presentation, ARCHES investigators will discuss key findings from both the qualitative interviews and the national survey including participants’ reflections on two local health disparities, reactions to the well-known equity versus equality image, and how health hardship is associated with a more capacious sense of health-related deservingness among survey respondents.

More information, including the link to register, can be found on the Swetland Center website.
