The American Conference of Cantors (ACC) and Guild of Temple Musicians (GTM) are pleased to hold our annual convention concert in Cleveland, OH and present this gala concert to the community.
This year’s theme, “Amplifying Our Roles,” is deeply meaningful to cantors and synagogue musicians. Our work reaches far beyond the bimah. We teach and mentor. We comfort and accompany. We organize, advocate, compose, conduct, lead, support, innovate, and hold sacred space. This concert will explore the roles held by our members in our communities. We will celebrate the holy work we do, strengthening it, and turning up the volume on the impact we have in our communities and in Jewish life.
Together, we bring diverse musical paths, passions, and perspectives, and we can’t wait to gather as a community for learning, music-making, connection, and renewal. Made up of almost 600 ordained and certified cantors, the ACC helps ensure that the voices of cantors will resonate in Reform congregations for generations to come. ACC cantors hold a unique place in Jewish life — offering pastoral care, musical leadership, and spiritual uplift to all who seek it.
The ACC sustains that work through professional development, career services, and advocacy for its members. The 200 members of GTM include music directors, choral conductors, composers, music educators, cantorial soloists, and musicians who make music in celebration of Jewish worship.
