Inspired by philosopher Dr. Myisha Cherry's ”The Case for Rage: Why Anger is Essential to the Anti-Racist Struggle,” this concert takes to heart Cherry’s suggestion that anger is powerful and can be a force for good in the face of injustice. Anti-racist anger “aims for change, motivates productive action, build resistance, and is informed by inclusive and liberating perspective.”
Join CWRU University Chorale, Windsong, Cleveland’s Feminist Chorus, and guests from other community ensembles as we stand as allies and co-conspirators for justice through solidarity and artistic expression of anti-oppressive rage.
Featuring Dr. Rollo Dilworth's powerful oratorio, Weather.
Featuring special guest speaker, Dr. Myisha Cherry, author of A Concert for Rage, for an audience talkback.
Children under 12 and those with a CWRU ID are free in person at the box office on the day of the show.
