Two award-winning ensembles, the Ukrainian Bandurist Chorus of North America (UBC) and the Toronto-based Vesnivka Ukrainian Women’s Choir along with the Toronto Ukrainian Male Chamber Choir, will be presenting the collaborative concert, Songs and Strings of Ukraine!
The UBC and Vesnivka have collaborated for over 20 years to audiences in Illinois, Michigan, and Ontario. Recently, they streamed a joint Christmas concert from Toronto to a global audience.
The ensembles share a musical bond to amplify Ukraine’s voice and to highlight Ukraine’s unique cultural identity. The bandura, the 60-stringed instrument voice of Ukraine, will be featured in the concert program.
With over 80 musicians on stage, both ensembles will have their own program along with a collaborative segment.
