"Pompa-Baldi at the Maltz Center"
A Dazzling Duo. A Stirring Symphony. An unforgettable afternoon.
Suburban Symphony Orchestra returns to the Maltz Performing Arts Center with a mesmerizing blur of hands that will dance across the keys, as renowned pianists Antonio Pompa-Baldi and Emanuela Friscioni join forces in Kozeluch’s playful Concerto for Piano for Four Hands. Playful then gives way to Profound with Brahms’s majestic first symphony. Living in Beethoven’s shadow, it took Brahms over 14 years to write and wow, was it worth the wait! The mysterious opening, lilting melodies and triumphant chorale-like finale might leave you asking “Beethoven, who?”
