Remembrance and Hope

Presented by Western Reserve Chorale with Choral Arts Cleveland

As we find our world to be in times of pandemic, war, divisiveness, and more; we invite you to join us for "Remembrance and Hope", a concert honoring the sacrifices of veterans who have served in times of war, focusing on the need for all human souls to find hope when faced with the darkest of situations.

Local veterans have provided poetry about their own experiences to include in the program book. We look forward to their, and your, attendance of this special performance.

Western Reserve Chorale, David Gilson, Artistic Director

Now in its 31st season, Western Reserve Chorale has grown in both size and breadth of repertoire. This community chorus weathered the pandemic through virtual rehearsals and concerts, wearing masks and distancing as needed, to come back to its full numbers. The singers of WRC felt the need to offer an ambitious concert season to celebrate our continuing love of singing together and the joy of performing for a live audience. We are excited to present this full-scale concert in collaboration with Choral Arts Cleveland, accompanied by local instrumentalists and featured soloists.

To fulfill our mission of providing free choral music to the Greater Cleveland community we rely on public grants and contributions from individual supporters.

Choral Arts Cleveland

Over four decades ago, the joy of singing and friendship brought together a small group of men and women which has grown to become Choral Arts Cleveland, a non-profit community chorus of dedicated and proficient singers.  As part of its goal of contributing meaningfully to the artistic life of Greater Cleveland, Choral Arts collaborates with other local arts groups.

Members of Choral Arts are drawn from throughout the Greater Cleveland area, coming from all walks of life, diverse cultural backgrounds, a broad age range, and include talented voices with varying degrees of musical training.  Choral Arts makes musical contributions to the community through free-admission concerts, allowing audience members to make a free will donation.

It is the mission of Choral Arts Cleveland to present quality concerts that engage and enhance the musical experience of diverse community audiences and performers through creative, thoughtful choral selections in a welcoming and accessible environment.
