Why I Chose MS in Anatomy at CWRU
For as long as I can remember, my dream was always to become a medical doctor. During undergrad, I decided to major in Biology and do the pre-med track. After I graduated, I decided that I wanted to prepare even more for medical school, so I began looking into several different master and post-baccalaureate programs. Amidst looking for the perfect program for me, I stumbled across the MS in Anatomy program here at CWRU. After extensively looking into the program, and reading about the rigorous curriculum. I knew the rigors and challenge of this program would prepare me well for medical school. Now, having newly graduated, I feel significantly more prepared for my future.
How This Program Helped Me Grow
Medical school is one of the most demanding and strenuous professional schools a person could attend. With this in mind, I knew I needed to build a solid foundation by solidifying my knowledge and skills I gained during my undergraduate years before I attended it. For me, I believe that being well versed in anatomy and the human body is the foundation of being able to practice medicine well. Throughout my time in this program, I saw an exponential growth in not only my knowledge, but in myself. It gave me many opportunities to grow. After my first year, I became a TA, which I loved because I was able to truly understand the material. Additionally, during the duration of the program I was able to form close relationships with my peers and professors, which was an added bonus.
