The 2020 Cleveland IDEAS Symposium

The 3rd Cleveland IDEAS Symposium will be held September 13 - 15th, 2020 (Young Investigator & Basic Science Symposium) & September 19th, 2020 (Clinical Course) at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.

The Cleveland International Digestive Education and Science (IDEAS) Symposium provides an opportunity for national and international experts in the field of gastrointestinal disease to gather on the campus of Case Western Reserve University for a two-and-a-half day basic science workshop.  Our agenda also includes a half-day Young Investigator Symposium which provides medical students, graduate students, post-doctoral trainees, and early stage investigators (per NIH definition) a platform to (1) submit abstracts for review by the Cleveland IDEAS Review Committee, (2) present their research in oral or poster format, (3) network with senior investigators and other Young Investigators with whom interaction would have been limited or impossible, (4) question experts regarding funding opportunities, and (5) expose them to state-of-the-art research initiatives as described by international experts and leaders in digestive disease.

The ultimate goal of the symposium is to continue to equip and empower global leaders, and potential leaders, in digestive disease research and treatment to provide our most valuable stakeholders - our patients - a cure.
