Every year, outstanding staff are recognized for their contributions to Case Western Reserve University with the President's Award for Distinguished Service and the Robin Kramer Volunteer Award. Click on the award below to see the list of honorees for each.
President's Award for Distinguished Service
The President’s Award for Distinguished Service was created in honor of Roseanne Shaerban, a University employee whose qualities and commitment set a standard for distinguished service. Her family, friends, and co-workers remember her for the care, concern, loyalty and support she demonstrated to the University community. Roseanne was feisty, creative, and exceptionally generous in her willingness to help others in need.
Robin Kramer Volunteer Award
Case Western Reserve University created the Robin Kramer Volunteer Award in honor of Robin Kramer, a University employee whose qualities and commitment to volunteerism set a standard for distinguished service. Robin Kramer was known for her passion for serving the University and its employees. Robin was a friendly and familiar face of the Staff Advisory Council (SAC) and loved to welcome new members at the SAC New Member Orientation. She also co-chaired the Elections and Staff Recognition Committees. Her family, friends, and co‐workers remember her for her infectious smile, contagious laugh, concern, loyalty, and the support she demonstrated to the University community. Robin’s enthusiasm and energy were evident in everything she did.
Recipients of the President's Award for Distinguished Service
This award honors the late Rose Shaerban, "a University employee whose qualities and commitment have set a standard for staff excellence," the award plaque states. Shaerban was assistant editor of Campus News at the time of her death in 1989.
