Branka has dedicated her career to research, evaluation, and implementation of programs that positively impact underserved and vulnerable populations. She is deeply invested in partnering with community agencies and programs to achieve data-driven results.
Branka’s career has largely focused on developing and evaluating programs that support community-dwelling older adults and their informal caregivers, who individually or collectively experience challenges with chronic conditions, cognitive and mental health, and unmet needs related to social risk factors. For nearly two decades, Branka served a dual role at an organization that supports older adults and caregivers. Her primary role was managing the day-to-day operations of an evidence-based program, including implementation, training, and technical support, and directing local, state, and federal initiatives. In addition, she directed the organization-wide quality improvement plan, which largely focused on monitoring indicators for program outcomes and overseeing accreditation for their behavioral health services program.
Her primary role at Begun will be to co-lead the Partnership for Evaluation, Research, and Implementation (PERI) initiative. She is excited to engage in projects that aim to promote social justice and community development.
Branka earned her Master’s Degree in Sociology with a Minor in Business Administration from Baldwin-Wallace University and Master of Social Work from the Ohio State University.
